This car is my first and only car for now. I bought this car in 2005 from a dealership. I am the second owner. I have driven this car everywhere. Up steep mountains a few times, many road trips. I drove it to school a daily 50 mile drive for 3 years. The car currently has 245000 miles. This car is reliable and dont get me wrong, I have had to change radiator, spark plugs, etc, mechanical issues, but it was nothing major or expensive. Until 2 years ago the car was stolen and it has the engine light on. Ive had it checked by 2 mechanics and they have not been able to find whats wrong with it. But thats something that happened to me by chance, but I have driven it this way for the 2 years and its in fair condition. If it was never messed with my car would be in excellent condition. Its a great car! I highly recommend this vehicle, if you need a car or its your first car. You wont be disappointed!

I have owned a lot of different cars, I was pretty happy with the dodge shadow and kind of disappointed with the neon at first. the layout of the car took some getting used to. also when you change the oil on the old 2.2 - 2.5's everything was so easy to get to.... the neon really wasn't bad to do maintenance on, just different! brakes, wheel bearings, same just different. I started liking the car more and more after it broke 200,000 mi. and when it hit 300,000 mi the catalytic converter plugged which gave symptoms of the trany slipping. I sold the car and it's still on the road in Wellsville, ny. the car that I own now just broke 200,000mi (2003 Saturn ion) but it's had it's issues, rack pinion (surprisingly easy to change)ignition switch on cold mornings below 32* and something that is currently causing the car to buck, maybe moisture in the tank (which is no fault of the cars)I do miss that neon, at times I have thought about making an offer to buy it back just to see how many miles it will go!

Cute, gets you to where you need to be, affordable, and comfortable. What more does one need in a car.
